Cash in at Home

Are you sick and tired of your recycling containers leaking in your car? Don’t have the time to get to a Containers for Change depot? Our team has the perfect solution! At Anything Environmental, we offer a mobile recycling service, where our team will visit your home in Mackay and count your containers on the spot. Using our custom designed truck, we’ll count your containers in the comfort of your home before providing your refund—either in cash or EFT.

We take 4-cents from every container as a service fee, meaning you’ll receive 6-cents per eligible container. To take advantage of our convenient home counting collection mobile recycling service, simply give us a call on (07) 4952 6866 or book online when you’re ready!

Wave goodbye to bad odours; avoid nasty stains in your vehicle! Our mobile recycling service means you no longer have to risk your recycling leaking on the way to a Containers for Change depot. We understand transporting cans, bottles, scrap metal and other recycling to a depot can be time consuming and difficult without the right vehicle. That’s why we designed a custom truck and developed a mobile recycling service!

This service is available to anyone in the region and requires a minimum of 500 containers—otherwise a $10 surcharge will apply. Tick your recycling off your to-do list by giving us a call today!

Frequently Asked Questions

No, let us do the work for you. But to help us we do ask that you please remove lids and caps from the containers. Thank you.

For a list of eligible containers, please visit our Containers for Change page.

There are some beverage containers that are not eligible for a refund. Generally excluded containers are those that are less than 150ml and greater than 3L. Other excluded containers include:

  • Any plain milk containers
  • Any glass containers which have contained wine or pure spirits
  • Containers 1L or more which have contained flavoured milk, pure fruit or vegetable juice, cask wine or cask water
  • Concentrated/undiluted cordial or syrup containers
  • Sachets above 250ml which have contained wine
  • Registered health tonics

Excluded containers, such as plain milk bottles and glass wine bottles, can still be recycled through existing kerbside collection or drop-off services.

Containers must be empty. You don’t have to rinse each container but it will help you store them cleanly before returning them. Caps should also be removed from bottles.

Crushed eligible cans or plastic bottles can be returned to a community Drop and go bin or our Paget depot, providing that they can be recognised as being an eligible container. For safety reasons, glass bottles need to be whole and intact.
